Chargers Release LB Darryl Gamble

By Ernie Padaon

With all the injuries to our offensive line, we needed to cut ties somewhere in order to add another big man to the roster. So today, we let go of rookie LB Darryl Gamble:

Rookie LB Darryl Gamble released. At least one offensive lineman being signed. Team worked out at least three today. – “The Enabler” Kevin Acee

Gamble was a stud during the pre-season but he never got a lot of playing time in the regular season. We did just sign LB Everette Brown from free agency and he is supposed to be a pass rushing monster. We haven’t seen that from him yet, but hopefully he shows us something against the Bears! Hopefully we can bring back Darryl Gamble onto the practice squad.

With the move, we are going to bring in an offensive lineman to help out on that battered and beaten crew. Hopefully it is someone that can help out Brandyn Dombrowski on that left side of the line.
