Around the League: Patriots Release Fat Albert
By Ernie Padaon

The New England Patriots cut ties with Albert Haynesworth today. The Pats took a chance on him and hoped that they could transform him back into the beast that he was in Tennessee. He never was able to live back up to that level and now he is sitting on the waiver wire for some team to take a shot.
No, we shouldn’t take a look at bringing Albert here to play. We would love to have the defensive line help, but if Bill Belichick was unable to get the most out of him, what makes you think that Norv has the capability to do so?
Why is it that if any veteran gets cut that the Raiders are going to try and scoop in on him? They may not have any talent left at all, but they will try and make a move.
