Gates out for Sunday and beyond

Update your FF roster, but don’t trade Antonio Gates away just yet.  The NCT is reporting that Gates will be sitting out and resting his foot until after our bye week in October.

“This is the only solution I haven’t tried yet,” Gates said Wednesday about resting his foot, the paper reports. “I’ve done whatever it is you can imagine to help this problem. At this point, rest is the only thing that’s left to try and get this thing healed.”

If you have a couple solid backups then put Gates on the bench or you may risk a clever owner picking him up.
