Bob Sanders to IR, Chargers Sign Tommie Harris. WOW!

The Bob Sanders experiment is ALREADY over in San Diego. He was put on the IR today.

I don’t know why I am surprised by Sanders going onto IR, but I am! Maybe it is because I have no clue how he got injured in the game against the Patriots and he all of a sudden showed up on the injury report. This is how his career has been and AJ Smith better have been prepared to go into the season with backup plans.

Now we will see if Steve Gregory or Darrell Stuckey will step up. Gregory will probably continue to take the starting reps. We just signed Paul Oliver for depth at the position as well.

To fill Sanders’ spot on the roster the Chargers signed veteran defensive lineman Tommie Harris. Harris is a 3 time Pro-Bowl defensive tackle. He will help out with the depth at our injury filled defensive line.
