Are We Taking The Chiefs Too Lightly?

I don’t like excuses! We have a bunch of guys that are going to be sitting on the sideline this weekend. Would these players have practiced and played if we were playing the Packers OR some other opponent? Because we are facing the lowly Chiefs, are we attempting to give some of these guys a rest?
At the beginning of the week, according to Norv Turner, the only player that was expected to miss any time was Malcom Floyd. Floyd left the game against the Patriots with a groin injury and did not return. Then players like Bob Sanders, Corey Liuget, Antonio Gates, Vincent Jackson and Quentin Jammer all missed practice time.
Allen Iverson would probably lecture me right now:
How many championships has AI won? Practice preps you for the game and with all the history we have had with slow starts, we better not take anything for granted. The Chiefs look like the worst team on the planet, but there are still some hungry players on that team that would LOVE to pull off an upset.
The Chargers better come into this game mentally tough and ready to kick a team while they are down! Anything less would be a disappointment!
