Morning Dump

ITS FRIDAY!!!! Game Day is just around the corner! Today is a travel day for the team and they will be out in Boston later today. The team is fairly healthy, other than Luis Castillo and Nate Kaeding. I guess we should add Jonas Mouton to the list too, but he has little impact to games at this time in his career. Dump has articles on McCourtney from the Pats and the matchups with our tall receivers.

Enjoy your dump:

As a rookie last season, McCourty was the frequent target of opposing quarterbacks. He quickly proved himself and played so well that by the end of the year, quarterbacks were looking elsewhere and the rookie from Rutgers was headed to the Pro Bowl.

“I don’t believe in those kinds of things,” the second-year cornerback from Rutgers said. “I don’t think offenses or players look at what you’ve done before and say, ‘You know what? I think we’re going to leave that guy alone.’ As a corner, I expect each week to go out there and be challenged.”

SAN DIEGO – Kicking in the NFL is a tenuous enough profession that those who are unemployed figure to spend their Sundays glued to the TV, monitoring which incumbents might be headed for the waiver wire.

It has long been treated as a foregone conclusion that if San Diego wants to prevent the Chargers from moving to another city — likely Los Angeles — the city will have to find a way to pony up money for a new facility to replace 44-year-old Qualcomm Stadium (formerly Jack Murphy Stadium).
