Available Replacements for the Chargers Injured Players

K Nate Kaeding went down with an ACL injury on the first play of the game. P Mike Scifres filled in for him during the game, but he is not the answer for the rest of the season (it was fun though). Here are some possibilities that are available for the Bolts:
Jeff ReedReed was the long-time CLUTCH kicker for the Pittsburgh Steelers and has been bouncing around the NFC West since being released by the Steelers.
Dave RaynerHe was signed by the Bolts in 2007 when Nate Kaeding was hurt trying to make a tackle on a kickoff. Sound Familiar? Let’s see if thesame type of injury opens up another opportunity for Rayner here.
Kris BrownWe signed him last year when Kaeding went down. He tried to sign on with the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, but was eventually released.
Nick NovakHe is a San Diego kid and spent time with the Chargers a little bit last year.
We also lost DE Luis Castillo in the game after getting caught under a pile of linemen. Early diagnosis is a fractured tibia for Castillo. Here are some possibilities for a replacement.
Igor OlshanskyIgor knows a bunch of the players on this team from his days in San Diego. He was a salary casualty in Dallas and is still searching for a job.
Ogemdi NwagbuoOG was just released by the team and is LOVED by his teammates in the locker room. It helps that he already knows the defensive scheme. I am sure that some of the defensive lineman are lobbying to bring him back.
Alex BrownBrown was recently released by the New Orleans Saints and has been a long time Chicago Bears defensive end. He is a play maker and should find a new team soon.
