Chargers vs Vikings: First Half Rant

Vikings 17 – Chargers 7
As UGLY a game we have played in the first half, we are still in this ballgame and we have always been a second half team. We start out with the ball and we need to come out quickly and put up 7s on the scoreboard.
The loss of Nate Kaeding on the very first play of the game HURT. We marched down the field and could have had 3 points, but we needed to go for it on 4th and 20.
The opening kickoff reminded us of the nightmares of last season. Percy Harvin shook a little and all of a sudden was racing for the end zone. Defense didn’t even get a chance to get on the field, but the special teams give up the BIG PLAY!
The defense stepped up big on their first drive. Shaun Phillips tipped up a pass and intercepted it to set up the first score.
The offense took forever to get the receivers involved and there has been too much of Mike Tolbert in this game. Ryan Mathews is more explosive and can break the bigger plays off. We had a touchdown pass that was a bit overthrown to Vincent Jackson, but VJ did slow up out of his break also.
We need to force some three-and-outs on the defensive side of the ball and we need to make some plays on offense. The passing game is better than this and we should be able to put up points!
