Travis LaBoy Listed as Chargers Starting Outside Linebacker

The San Diego Chargers released a depth chart on Monday and Travis LaBoy was listed as the starting outside linebacker. Defensive coordinator Greg Manusky brought him onto this defense and we could see this becoming a possibility. LaBoy knows Manusky’s system and Manusky has a lot of trust in him.
First round draft pick Larry English will have to start the season om the bench and will need to prove his worth to get some playing time. He is on the come back trail from injury and needs to stay healthy and start making some plays. Fans have been calling him a BUST since he was drafted by the Bolts and this is another hurdle that he will have to jump in order to get back in our good graces.
LaBoy did a good job in the final preseason game against the 49ers and will have to hold off English and Antwan Barnes for that starting spot and playing time. Hopefully it is a battle all season long for playing time and all three linebackers make some big plays for us this season.
