The Chargers were able to bring back a few of the cuts from yesterday and place them on the practice squad. The practice squad is a spot where players like Seyi Ajirotutu, Bryan Walters and Richard Goodman developed last year. This will be a chance for these players to learn the system and give them a chance to make the roster later in the season or possibly compete for a spot next training camp.

Here is the list of players that we brought back:

LB Bront BirdNicknamed Brontosaurus from another Chargers Blog (Bolts from the Blue) and the kid finds himself around the ball all the time. He will get some time to develop and will hopefully get a chance to play soon. He has that hair that hangs out the back of the helmet, Clay Mathews style, and I just think that makes linebackers better (just a personal opinion).

T Steve SchillingDraft pick out of Michigan that has been described as nasty. Love when any player on the font lines is described with that term. There were just too much talent at that position to keep him around on the 53-man roster.

DT Charlie BryantA big man out of Memphis. We can never keep too many defensive tackles on this team.

CB Traye SimmonsAnother defensive player that has hair hanging out the back of the helmet. He spent time with the team last year on the practice squad and is still developing.

FB Frank SummersBig boy running back that loves the contact and may be seen on this team at some time this season. We only kept 4 backs on the roster and any injuries there could mean a call-up.

TE Brad TaylorTaylor the Tight End out of Baylor showed enough skills for Norv and AJ to keep him on the practice squad with the team.
