Where is the Chargers Run Defense!?!?

This defense has not impressed in the preseason, especially the run defense. We play against run happy teams like the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs this season and we better be prepared to face these physical runners.

The preseason has let us see Felix Jones and Beanie Wells gain chunks of yards on our defense. Those backs are not even the same league as Adrian Paterson and Jamaal Charles. Our boys need to step their game up.

We have played the last couple of games without some of our big guns and their return will definitely help out. Antonio Garay and Shaun Phillips are expected to be back by the start of the season. Also Travis LaBoy and Larry English are expected to be available.

Takeo Spikes and Bob Sanders are expected to help out the run defense, but we have only been able to see the team in action during this preseason and all our starters have not been on the field at the same time. With everyone back, we better slow down some running games, otherwise this could be a LONG season.

I don’t want to get swept by the Raiders again! I don’t want to lose to Kansas City! I don’t want to start the season slowly! This needs to get fixed and NOW!!
