More Info on New Chargers LB Kevin Bentley

I gathered more info on our part-time YOGA, part-time snowboarding instructor and backup middle linebacker Kevin Bentley. I asked some Houston Texans bloggers about him and here is what they had to say:
A journeyman older role player adding decent depth & fit as 3-4 reserve LB. His stats over the past few years tell the story. However, very decent depth. – Joe Owens of the Toro Times
He played in the middle last year when (DeMeco) Ryans got hurt and played OK. He’s good against pass. he’s better suited to play OLB because he’s not a great run stopper. – Dustyn Richardson of Houston Sports and More
Fun fact on new ILB Kevin Bentley: he’s a Level II certified snowboarding instructor during offseasons in Vail, Colo. – Christopher Smith the Chargers.com editor
AND here is that ESPN article of Kevin Bentley doing that yoga pose: Texans’ Kevin Bentley champions yoga
SO, he sounds like he will be a decent backup at the position. Norv and AJ must have a lot of trust in Donald Butler getting this thing done. Let the Butler show begin! I finally will stop looking for a new starting middle linebacker and jump on board the Butler bandwagon. I also will hope that Stephen Cooper can tough it out as a backup, because I am not so sure as Bentley in the middle. The Texans didn’t bring him back because he didn’t fit the 3-4 system. Is he an outside guy or an inside guy? He does sound like another BEAST that we added to the special teams squad.
