Thoughts on First Game Back

What a Day!!!! Football is offically back and the Chargers took on the Seahawks and the hawks rally back to win 24-17, but here are my thoughts on the game:

Philip Rivers: Of course he did damage when he was in going 5/6 with 87 yds with 1 TD not to mention that 48 yard bomb to VJax.

Mike Tolbert: Although with 2 rushing attempts for -3 yards, he had a nice TD reception in which he dove over a defender to score and  of course started to dougie … who doesn’t love that?

Ryan Mathews: with 2 rushing attempts going 5 yards and also had a nice reception going for 9 yards

Players that stood out to me:

Jordan Todman: Speedy Todamn with 6 attempts went 30 yards with his longest of 12yards, with Sproles gone look for Todman to emerge into a nice backup

The First player that definitley stood out to me was UFA LB Darryl Gamble from the University of Georgia. WOW , Gamble was all over the place racking up 7 tackles and 1 sack got a little shaken up on 1 play but he walked off on his own power and came back in the game the next drive.

The next player would have to be Bryan Walters from Cornell University. I know your probably saying ” Walters ? Who?” but check the highlight reel because Walters had a HUGE kickoff return for 103 yds for the Touchdown. Walters also had 2 catches for 31 yds.

Players that also impressed me and we should all look out for would be DB Marcus Gilchrist who also went back for KR/PR, WR Travon Patterson little guy only about 5’9 playing the receiver spot but this guy is fast! Look out for him. We can’t forget our beloved 1st round pick Corey Liuget. Corey looked good out there getting 3 tackles, but his presence was definitely felt. Although a lot of other guys stood out those were the most important in my eyes…
