Last Night’s Chargers Practice

By Ernie Padaon

Yesterday the Bolts held a night practice out at the Q and opened it up for the fans.

Here are a couple of my notes from practice:Richard Goodman looks good returning kickoffs. I’m not sure why, maybe it’s the long hair hanging out of the back of the helmet, but he is becoming one of my favorites to make the team. Nate Kaeding made all his field goals while I was watching, but of course it is not the playoffs.

Even though there is a lot of talk about Ryan Mathews being out of shape, he still is fast as a motha and he has great balance. He has freakish athleticism and we just hope that he puts in the work now to be ready for the season.

The grandpa in front of me was acting like he owned the Q. He welcomed everyone in and told people to grab a seat anywhere. He had a fresh tattoo on his back that I just wanted to slap (I think I always want to do this to fresh tats). He was passionate and was yelling at anyone who dropped a pass… Anyway, back to the football.

Fan Fest is this Saturday and I can’t wait to see some of the new guys on the field. Takeo Spikes and Bob Sanders will be on the field and so will Vincent Jackson. CANT WAIT!

Here are some pics from the night. I wish that I owned a better camera, but all i had on me was my phone, but it will just have to do. Check out the team and my little Bolt fan:
