Antwan Barnes Staying In San Diego

Antwan Barnes was getting calls from the New York Jets these last couple of days with them trying to entice him over to that defense. Barnes decided to stay here with the defense that gave him a chance to play and a chance to show his skills. He was meant to be a special teams monster, but he showed that he can bring the heat to the quarterback.

He will get a lot of time at the OLB position during passing downs and he will be able to give Larry English a breather. If English finds another way to sit on the sideline, then Barnes will get even more opportunity to play. He gets after the quarterback and makes plays and we will see him part of the defense for the next couple of seasons.
