Happy Birthday to Chargers Middle Linebacker Stephen Cooper!
The Bolts middle linebacker celebrated his 32nd birthday last night at FLUXX. I have not heard any stories of DUIs or public intoxication so I assume that everyone had a great time and is safe this early morning.
Coop has been a solid force in the middle of the Chargers defense, but his status on the team is up in the air. He turns 32 tomorrow and that is getting old in football age. He is a free agent as soon as the lockout ends and it seems that our first priority is to bring back Kevin Burnett and then possibly look at bringing back Coop. There are also other options that we could lean toward in the free agency market.
I hope Coop enjoyed his birthday celebration down at FLUXX and I hope for the best in his career wherever that may be. I tend to think that he will be joining coach Ron Rivera up at Carolina with the Panthers.
Where do you see Coop playing next season?
