Patrick Crayton is coming to town to join the guys in practice out at USD. There are already a bunch of guys out there getting their work in with Philip Rivers and company.

Crayton was having a good season last year before he went down with a wrist injury. He was just hitting his stride and getting comfortable in the offense and with Philip, but then he went down on his wrist and had to be sidelined for the rest of the season. He most likely will be counted on out of the slot position this year with Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd out on the edges. Of course this all could change with free agency after this lockout is done.

He will also be competing for the punt returner role when the season starts. Darren Sproles is not expected to be brought back and Antoine Cason took over the spot before the end of last season also. Crayton was the main punt returner in Dallas before he was brought over here and could take some of those opportunities.
