Do you know the honor of being the Philadelphia Eagles home opener? The last 4 teams to face the Eagles as their home opener has gone on to win the Super Bowl.

Here is the Eagles schedule since 2009:

2009: the Eagles are blown out in by the Saints in their home opener, and New Orleans goes on to win the Super Bowl.
2010: The Packers start their season in Philadelphia with a win, and go on to win the Super Bowl.
2011: the Eagles don’t play at home until Week 3, when they’re beaten by the Giants. The Giants would eventually become champions.

Guess who they played in 2012? The Baltimore Ravens!

Now, who is their home opener for 2013? According to a possible schedule leak, the San Diego Chargers!

The NFL Schedule will be released Thursday at around 5pm Pacific Time. We will get to see what our 2013 schedule will look like.

We already know the opponents for the 2013 schedule though. Here are the teams that we will be facing in 2013.

Home Games:
AFC West
Indianapolis Colts
Houston Texans
New York Giants
Dallas Cowboys
Cincinnati Bengals

Road:
AFC West
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tennessee Titans
Philadelphia Eagles
Washington Redskins
Miami Dolphins

We already have the Pre-Season schedule lined up also:

Week 1: Seattle Seahawks
Week 2: @ Chicago Bears
Week 3: @ Arizona Cardinals
Week 4: San Francisco 49ers

Now we just need to know when we face all these teams. We have two games all the way out in Florida. Our road games are all the way across the country this year. There will be a lot of traveling for the guys this season.

Let’s see what kind of breaks we get with the schedule, when our BYE week falls and where that dumb Thursday Night Football game falls. I wonder if we will get any prime time games this season.

Does anyone have any guesses for Prime Time games? I will guess that we get a Prime Time game against the Denver Broncos. I just hope we don’t start the season on Monday Night again. I like starting the season on the Sunday when everyone else starts.

Home: AFC West, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys & Cincinnati Bengals

Road: AFC West, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins & Miami Dolphins or New York Jets

Look at those home games. We might be able to avoid some blackouts with the Cowboys and Giants coming to town. The Texans are one of the beat teams in the league and could be Super Bowl bound.

On the road, we get the Jaguars and Titans, two games that could easily be blacked out if it were at home. We also get to see RGIII for the first time. That game won’t be blacked out either, since it is on the road.
