Here is my attempt to say some good things about the San Diego Chargers’ division rivals. This will not be easy.

I already offended everyone in Raider nation last week by sharing information that their own news people said about their quarterbacks. Their own news people said it! I just shared it to Charger Town and they got all pissy about it. Apparently I should die of AIDS. Wait a minute that is a tweet from someone else to someone else. Some of the things that fans do is just downright silly.

Anyway, back to my attempt to say some good things about the opposition. I almost got sidetracked already!

Here we go.

OAKLAND RAIDERS

The Raiders live in an awesome state. California is amazing! The beaches, the women, the weather. Not particularly in Oakland, but more prevalent in Southern California.

The colors black and silver really can go with anything. Raiders fans have that going for them.

Darth Vader is at all there games. Celebrity status. I think King Kong goes to those games too.

They spend tons of hours to put that makeup on and off. I wouldn’t care to do that at all.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

After they lose, they can enjoy some really good BBQ. I am sure Andy Reid agrees with this statement.

DENVER BRONCOS

After they lose, they can smoke weed.

I tried my best. Did I miss anything?

The Chargers are implementing a shorter passing offense designed to get the ball out of Philip Rivers’ hands more quickly.
Happy Birthday shout outs to San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates. Gates turned 33 years young today. He has been beating double teams and making big time plays for a long time. Hopefully he can get back to that Pro Bowl level this season.

He is getting up there in football years, but many observers still believe that he is athletic and fast. He looks fast in practice.

He will get a huge opportunity this year to make big things happen. The Chargers have more options in the passing game that could free up Antonio to make more plays on offense. Philip Rivers should have a little more time to throw the football with new linemen giving him protection. He should have a better year.

Sure I have called him overrated for the last couple of seasons. Sure I have called him old and questioned if he could get back to that next level. This is a big year for him. I want to see that impact player that he used to be.

He is an exceptional talent. He’s 33 years old now and won’t be playing this game much longer. He has a few more years to get those championship titles with the Chargers. Philip Rivers and company better step their games up soon and get those rings for one of the best tight ends to ever play this game.

Now that would be a good birthday gift!
