Bolts fans would have loved to see RB Ronnie Harmon in a Chargers jersey playing in Qualcomm Stadium for the coming season, but instead we will see him in Qualcomm every year in a Denver Bronco jersey… and that just sucks! It looks like we will have to root against a former Aztec every year and hope that our boys Kendall Reyes and Melvin Ingram beat him down.

It seems like it’s been forever since last season ended, doesn’t it?

Since free agency started, our beloved GM (sarcasm) has actually been acting like a normal GM and made some decent signings.

Back up running back has been a controversial topic since the departure of Darren Sproles and now Mike Tolbert. Several free agent RBs have visited here but Smith has yet to make a move regarding that position.

According to a San Diego Union Tribune article, Smith is in no hurry to sign a backup running back. He says that the back up running back position is “kind of on the back burner right now”.
He also says that there are other positions that are more important at the moment. Like the D-line and the O-line. I agree.
He goes on to say that “We have time” and “As long as the veteran list is big of people we like and they keep calling constantly because they’d like to be a part of this team, we’re OK. If everybody starts coming off that veteran list, between now and the draft, then I think you’re going to start seeing some signings. And if you don’t, that’s not a good sign for a lot of those NFL vets.”

Now that the draft is almost upon us, everyone has their opinions on who should be drafted when and why. I guess I’m no different.

I’ve been asking you Chargers fans what your opinion is on different players we should draft and one name that keeps coming up is Ronnie Hillman. This guy is special. Smith should draft him. Turner should use him like he used Darren Sproles and together with Ryan Mathews, our offense would be explosive.

Use the first couple of picks on defense and if Hillman is still available, get him.
