“I know Vincent has been through a lot and he wanted a deal and didn’t get it,” Antonio Gates said. “But the bottom line is he wants to be a champion. To be around this energy, you can sense the urge of ‘I’m ready to get back on the field.’ I don’t think the contract is going on (in Jackson’s mind), the business side. You get back around it, it’s just natural, you’re ready to get going, ready to play.”
