Today, all the new players on the team will get their first chance to meet some of their new teammates. Players like Robert Meachem, Eddie Royal and Roscoe Parrish will be able to build some chemistry with our boy Philip.

“It’s all strength and conditioning, so it really works to our advantage,” coach Norv Turner said. “Just to kind of interact and get to know each other. That’s Phase One. Then Phase Two, the coaches, we’re able to get on the field with them for a limited time period. – UT San Diego

Because of the new collective bargaining agreement, the work this week will not be too intense. Here is the description of the work that can be done:

According to Section 2(b) of Article 21, it’s a three-phase, nine-week process. Phase One lasts for two weeks, and the activities are limited to “strength and conditioning” and “physical rehabilitation.” Only strength and conditioning coaches may be present; other coaches may not attend or observe in any way. Footballs cannot be used, with the exception of quarterbacks throwing to uncovered receivers. No helmets may be worn. – Pro Football Talk
