The San Diego Chargers met with Michigan WR Denard Robinson today, per Walter Football. Robinson is one of the players to watch on Saturday at the Senior Bowl. He is one of the most athletic players on the field, but he will be making a position change.

In college, he started his career as a quarterback. Last season he saw work as a running back and some at wide receiver as well as at quarterback.

The Chargers are looking for any weapons on offense. Robinson would be an interesting athlete to put on the field with the rest of the team.

In practice, he is also trying to work as a punt returner, but struggled fielding punts, fumbling four of them. He looked decent in his routes, but still will need work. He is a work in progress, but is an ATHLETE!

Who needs an education? These kids want to learn stuff? They want degrees? Why would they go back to school, when they can make millions of dollars in the NFL?

In reality, much respect to both Taylor Lewan and Jake Mathews for deciding to go back to school and pushing the NFL aside for later. The greedy Chargers fan in me is bummed out because we need help on the front line and both players are good fits on the roster. They would be first round picks and could have been available at the 11 spot.

Now we have to put our focus in a different direction, like Alabama. There are a couple of players from Alabama’s front line that should be considered with the 11 pick. Barrett Jones and Chance Warmack will get a lot of consideration with our first round pick. Tommy Telesco better have his scouting reports on both players.
