<p>SOMEONE COULD GET INJURED, THAT&#8217;s WHAT! Knowing the Chargers history with the injury bug, the Chargers still decided to release a veteran defensive end. There are four defensive ends that will make the roster in <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LiugCo00.htm">Corey Liuget</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MartVa99.htm">Vaughn Martin</a></strong>, Kendall Reyes and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CesaJa20.htm">Jacques Cesaire</a></strong> BUT behind them are a bunch of guys that are fighting to make ANY NFL roster. If one of the top four guys gets injured, the Chargers can&#8217;t rely on <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/N/NwagOg00.htm">Ogemdi Nwagbuo</a></strong> being available again! Someone give <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HarrTo99.htm">Tommie Harris</a></strong> or <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CartAn20.htm">Andre Carter</a></strong> a call. </p>
<p>The Bolts cut Castillo, but keep two veteran kickers (<strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/K/kaedinat01.htm">Nate Kaeding</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/N/novaknic01.htm">Nick Novak</a></strong>) on the roster? What is the reasoning for having both of them on the team? </p>
<p>It is sweet that they the team is giving Castillo an oppotunity to catch on with another 53 man roster, but the team needs to be looking out for themselves. There is no reason to cut someone off the roster at this time unless someone else is going to fill that spot&#8230;. still waiting to see that transaction. </p>

<p>The San Diego Chargers have released DE <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CastLu20.htm">Luis Castillo</a></strong> (<em><a href="http://twitter.com/UTKevinAcee/statuses/226029623727779840">Kevin Acee</a></em>). Castillo was coming back from a season ending broken leg and it is possible that he has not recovered fully from the injury. It will be up to the youth at the position to lead the charge at defensive end. <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MartVa99.htm">Vaughn Martin</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LiugCo00.htm">Corey Liuget</a></strong> are the expected starters with Kendall Reyes and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CesaJa20.htm">Jacques Cesaire</a></strong> rotating in for playing time.</p>
<p>Castillo was released earlier in the offseason and was brought back at a smaller contract. He has been released for the second time.</p>
<p>The Chargers are still looking to add a veteran defensive back onto the roster and this could open up a roster space for that player. </p>
<p>The Chiefs had him over for a visit in March and that could be a possible destination for the defensive end. </p>

<p>The San Diego Chargers brought back DE <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CastLu20.htm">Luis Castillo</a></strong> after cutting him earlier in the off-season. <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CastLu20.htm">Luis Castillo</a></strong> will add depth to the defensive line. </p>
<p>Castillo will now be coming off of the bench, instead of his role as the starter and will be backing up <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MartVa99.htm">Vaughn Martin</a></strong>. This is another big move for the defense and for the depth up front. </p>
<p>We now have Castillo joining <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LiugCo00.htm">Corey Liuget</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MartVa99.htm">Vaughn Martin</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CesaJa20.htm">Jacques Cesaire</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GaraAn20.htm">Antonio Garay</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/ThomCa99.htm">Cam Thomas</a></strong> up front. I LIKE IT! I still wish we had gone after <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HarrTo99.htm">Tommie Harris</a></strong>. Maybe we will. </p>
