Another week until we get into our BYE and we want to head into that with a ‘W’! We meet the stumbling Donkeys before we get there and we would get a chance  to rest those aches and pains on the team. We can’t let up and we need to go into this game strong! Will we do that? We shall see. The Donks plan on slowing us down.

That punt return they allowed Eddie Royal was ludicrous. Kaeding can’t kick the ball 50 yards anymore. Scifres gets to watch punts land in front of him.

Ok let’s get into it, this is the way the San Diego Chargers can play! If you read my “keys to unlocking a victory” article earlier this week, you will notice that the Chargers completed everything they needed to do to win.

• Pressure

Shaun Phillips lead the defense tonight with two sacks, including causing  Kyle Orton to throw an interception to defensive back Antone Cason. The defense showed up in a great way after giving up a touchdown on the Broncos first drive and slowed down a thriving Broncos offense to 14 points.

• We ran the ball!

Mike Tolbert, aka yogi bear as he is known to his teammates, had 25 carries for 111 yards and 1 touchdown, which kept the Broncos guessing what head coach Norv Turner was going to throw at them. We controlled the clock, spread the field, and exposed the Broncos defense on one of the biggest stages in the NFL.
