BoltLadies and BoltGentlemen, BoltBoys and BoltGirls, let’s get ready to RUMBLE!!

Tonight’s Fan Perspective features one of my fellow BoltBeat.com staff writers Korey Kaczur. She has big dreams and big plans to see them to fruition. I, personally, have no doubt that she will indeed achieve them.

Without further ado, leeegggooooo!

Hi! My name is Korey Kaczur, and I’m 20 years young. I am San Diego born and raised, which is why I am such a big Chargers fan. With that said, I am currently majoring in sports broadcast journalism at Arizona State University.

BoogaP: What got you started writing for BoltBeat.com?

Korey: My friend from school and fellow BoltBeat writer, Ben Haber, told me that he was blogging for a site about the Chargers. I figured that this would be a great opportunity to dive into something related to my career choice and get some experience.

BoogaP: I know from talking to you a little bit that you want to be a reporter for ESPN. Tell us a little about that.

Korey: It has always been a dream of mine to be a sideline reporter for ESPN. I’m a daddy’s girl, which means I love watching sports. What other career choice lets you do that for a living? Nothing. I like to be involved in the action and be able to interact with the athletes and coaches themselves. This is not going to be an easy journey, but chasing after a dream never is. It takes a lot of handwork and dedication, and I believe that I have the ability to be an ESPN reporter one day.

BoogaP: What has been the most frustrating thing for you as far as being a Chargers Fan?

Korey: I know that the Chargers have the potential to go to and win the Superbowl, but it frustrates me that they haven’t achieved that yet. I get annoyed with the front office’s decisions, but who doesn’t?

BoogaP: If you could meet any player, past or present, who would it be and why?

Korey: It has always been my dream to meet LaDainian Tomlinson. But about a month ago I was at the right place at the right time, and I was blessed with the opportunity to meet him. When he played for the Chargers, he impacted both the team and the community. LT was, and still is, a great role model. I would definitely choose to meet him again, hands down!

BoogaP: Who is your favorite Chargers draft pick from this year?

Korey: Melvin Ingram. He is an impact player that can be such a positive influence on our defense.

Apr 27, 2012; San Diego, CA, USA; San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner (right) and first round draft pick Melvin Ingram hold up a jersey during a press conference at Charger Park.
BoogaP: Name the one Chargers free agent pickup that you believe will have the most immediate impact this season?

Korey: I believe that ex-Broncos player Eddie Royal will bring so much to the Chargers. Since Vincent Jackson left the Chargers for the Bucs, Royal is a great pick-up for the Bolts.

BoogaP: The Chargers have an extremely difficult schedule this season, which game(s) do you think will be the most difficult for the Bolts to win?

Korey: Any game against the Denver Broncos has never been easy. Now that one of the best NFL quarterbacks, Peyton Manning, is a Bronco, this matchup will test the Chargers’ skills.

BoogaP: What was your initial reaction when Dean Spanos announced that both Norv and AJ were going to be retained for the 2012 season?

Korey: To this day I am still upset about it. I do believe that people deserve a second chance, but at this point they’ve had multiple chances and haven’t redeemed themselves. This upcoming season will determine whether or not Norv and AJ deserve to return back to San Diego.

BoogaP: What is your gameday meal and beverage of choice?

Korey: There is nothing better than watching a Chargers game while eating a hot dog and drinking an ice cold beer… I mean, coca-cola. Haha

BoogaP: I have predicted the Bolts to win it all this year. Do you have a prediction for the season?

Korey: I sure hope the Bolts win it all. That is all I wish for before I die, so it better happen soon! If anything, I just hope that Philip Rivers doesn’t throw as many interceptions as he did last year, or maybe none at all. I predict that the Chargers will make it farther than last season and even make it into the playoffs.

BoogaP: How stoked are you for the August the 18th preseason game versus the Cowboys?

Korey: I am actually really excited. I love going to as many games as I can, preseason or regular season. It’s even better this time because I will be attending the game with a couple other BoltBeat writers. I plan on going to many more games this year, even if it means skipping school.

BoogaP: And lastly, although you write for BoltBeat.com, how often do you visit the site and what do we have to do to get you to leave comments?

Korey: I visit the site probably once a week. Hahahaha. I am bad at leaving comments. That is one of my faults! I tried leaving comments before, but then I gave up.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this interview Korey!

Korey proves that one can work ward and still have a fun time doing it. For those of you that are interested in being the next Fan Perspective interviewee, feel free to hit me up via email at boogapeters@yahoo.com or on Twitter @BoogaP!
