<p>I am stealing this idea from our fellow FanSided Blog <a href="arrowheadaddict.com">Arrowhead Addict</a>. This will be the San Diego Chargers 2013 Mock Draft Challenge. I will run through the first 3 rounds of the draft. You all are free to go through all 7 rounds if you like.</p>
<p>Here are some of the rules for playing this little mock draft:</p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">The big board on </span><a style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;" href="http://www.drafttek.com/top-100-nfl-draft-prospects-2013.asp">Draft Tek</a><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;"> is the official board to make picks from.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">You can go up five positions from your draft position.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">You are free to go down as far as you want to select a player.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">No trades are allowed.</span></li>
</ul>
<p>As of now, compensation picks have not been awarded. Once they are, they will get factored into the exercise. Now, onto my picks and explanations.</p>
<p><strong>ROUND 1 (PICK 11): OT Eric Fisher, Central Michigan<br />
</strong>If I can grab an offensive tackle in the first round, than I get him. I would&#8217;t reach for Lane Johnson with the selection though and would rather grab Chance Warmack if Fisher was not available. Since Fisher is number 7 on the draft board, he falls within reach and would be my selection with the pick. <strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>ROUND 2  (PICK 45): RB Eddie Lacy, Alabama<br />
</strong><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">If Eddie Lacy lasts this long, which he won&#8217;t, then how can I pass him up? The goal this offseason is to add as many weapons to help out <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RivePh00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-boltbeat.com" target="_blank">Philip Rivers</a></strong> as possible. Since Lacy is number 49 on the draft board, I can&#8217;t say NO. Team the kid up with Ryan Mathews and that is a nice tandem out of the backfield. Other players I considered with the selection were SS Matt Elam and RB Andre Ellington. </span></p>
<p><strong>ROUND 3 (PICK 76): CB Leon McFadden, SDSU</strong><br />
Keep the kid in San Diego and he can help out that secondary. <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CasoAn99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-boltbeat.com" target="_blank">Antoine Cason</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JammQu20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-boltbeat.com" target="_blank">Quentin Jammer</a></strong> could be skipping out of town. Teams can always use help in the secondary. McFadden would be a great pickup in the 3rd round and can see playing time immediately. Another player I considered is RB Montee Ball, but I already took a back in the 2nd.</p>
<p>Here are the other Chargers picks, if you want to see who could possibly be available with those selections: <span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">ROUND 4 (PICK 107), </span><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">ROUND 5 (PICK 138), </span><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">ROUND 6 (PICK 169), </span><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">ROUND 7 (PICK 205).</span></p>
<p>Alright Beaters! That is my take on the first 3 rounds. Head over to <a href="http://www.drafttek.com/top-100-nfl-draft-prospects-2013.asp">Draft Tek</a> and see their big board. Share your selections in the comments section. Comment on my picks or on anyone else&#8217;s picks. Hope to see your selections soon.</p>
