It seems people always find ways to try to make a good move look bad. I suppose that’s the natural of things to try to bring people down because somebody, somewhere, thinks that they had a better idea.

Apparently, this idea was that if we were to dip into the Buffalo workhorse stables for a wide receiver to fill in for Vincent Jackson, then why didn’t we inquire about Terrell Owens instead of picking up Josh Reed?

Granted, Owens had better numbers last year and his experience in the league is undeniable. It just bothers me that everyone is still talking about his character issues even though he has been keeping his ego in check and has been more humble whilst in the public eye.

Some people will also say that his numbers were not as good as they were in previous seasons, it has to be noted that he hasn’t had the luxury of solid play from the quarterback position that he used to enjoy. It’s hard to imagine any wide receiver being truly successful in the feeble Bills offense of last season. The early injury to Ed Wang can’t be very good for morale either.

Nothing but questions in the air during the perennial slowest month of the NFL year. Here are the ones that float across my mind.

Can the combined forces of Malcom Floyd, Legedu Naanee, and Josh Reed make up for the fact that our most productive receiver may or may not be holding out for some/most/all of the season?

Will Vincent Jackson continue to hold out?

What will become of Marcus McNeill?

Should we have picked up Terrell Owens or is he still just more trouble than his experience is worth?

How would Owens mix in with Philip Rivers being the unquestioned leader of the offense?

If Vincent Jackson returns sooner than later, what will become of Josh Reed?

I will leave you guys with a poll so you can voice your opinions about Reed and Owens. Feel free to hit up the comment box as well.

Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.
