Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

The FanSided crew just did their latest NFL Mock Draft and here is who they have the San Diego Chargers selecting:

10. San Diego Chargers – Barkevious Mingo, DE/LSU

Mingo is a rare breed and he’s what the Chargers may be looking for. He’s quick, has an elite first step and is NFL ready according to experts. While the verdict isn’t in on Melvin Ingram just yet, the feeling isn’t one brimming with faith that he can be elite. It would be odd to see a team go back-to-back years with picking the same position, but we are going be seeing two different regimes pick that position should it pay out that way. Ingram is a piece of work, and Mingo has boom or bust written all over him. Emphasis on the boom.

It is hard to predict who the Chargers will select at this point without knowing who the GM is for the team. Also, we don’t know who we will pick up in free agency. Still, the Chargers biggest need has to be at left tackle. The new GM would have to give Melvin Ingram at least one more season before they move on to someone else.

With our pick in the first round, almost would rather have the team trade out and pick up more picks. Select that tackle and guard in round 2 and then find some weapons for Philip Rivers on offense.
