The day that we’ve all been waiting for since our defeat of Oakland in week 17 of the 2011 season is finally here.  Our Bolts start their march towards the Superbowl tonight!

It feels like so long ago that we were able to see the Chargers suited up in game action against a team that didn’t share the same helmets.

Now that the preseason is here, the players have got to be so excited to go hit someone that isn’t wearing lightning bolts.

Although the gameplan on both offense and defense will be very “vanilla,” I’m still very excited to see some of the young Chargers get their chances to earn a spot on the squad.

I didn’t think this day was ever going to get here.  But, finally, the day has arrived.  I feel very confident that I can speak on behalf of the entire BoltFamily in saying that we’ve waited long enough.  Only one question remains.

Are you ready for some football?

I know the answer to that.
