I feel like I’m the only guy out here that could care less about soccer. Is that bad people? I do want the USA to win but I don’t watch any of it. Just curious if I’m a bumm or not. Lol

It is called BoltBeat; that means football, not a bunch of pansies running around biting and kicking each other
    in the nuts.

Chargers are my favorite sports team, the USMNT is probably my second. I played soccer in HS and Jr. College and love the way the game has evolved in the States. I was too small to play football growing up but would have loved too. I wish I was the size I am now back then! I am watching the games and Sunday, against Portugal, I was at Mothers in OB and the place was crazy… like watching the super bowl except everyone was wearing 3 colors, Red White and Blue and cheering for the same team. With the summer lull in football, I am all in with the World Cup. I just wish these damn games weren’t middle of the week!

No dishonor in losing to the Germans, the americans should have one of hell of a shot at beating a talented but slightly dissapointing Belgian team.

My mexican team seams to get a juggernaut every time they make the 2nd round, no exception this year, if they can get a goal and get space to work with in the game, they have a shot, if they play from behind and give space to the dutch they are pretty much screwed.

It’s good to have another favorite in the tournament. My other team is, and always has been Italy, but they have already disappointed. I can’t stand Balotelli now… terrible whiner and just folds when things don’t go his way. The Mexican side and the Ticos have shown that our region is pretty solid this time around! Mexico has looked really good, cohesive and sometimes dangerous. They still have a hard time scoring, despite their talent and the Dutch are very strong! I’m hoping we all show something in this next round. I do fear Belgium though and the fact that we are pretty beat up.

http://therenodispatch.blogspot.com/2014/06/san-diego-chargers-2014-preview-nfls.html I like futbol, but right now all I can think about is FOOTBALL! Despite a new coach and general manager, a rejuvenated Pro Bowl quarterback, consecutively stellar drafts, shrewd free-agent and in-house signings, an improbable late run last season and a 27-10 playoff road win in January against the Cincinnati Bengals, who hadn’t lost at home all year, the Chargers are the Stealth Bomber of the NFL: They’re a potentially lethal machine that is flying way under the national media’s radar….
