Morning Dump: San Diego Chargers News Around the Web

Where is this Brandon Flowers deal? Haven’t heard much about it since last week. Seems like nothing is happening, but I am sure the offices took the weekend off and will get right back at it today.

Here are some lessons learned from the Chargers during the offseason.

Corey Liuget was out fishing over the weekend.

I am sure some of you all out there are watching the World Cup.

One of the undrafted free agents that is expected make the roster, Alan Darby, has his birthday over the weekend.

Colin Cowherd made a really good point about Barkley and that mental lapse he had in the last few minutes on that last goal. It’s crazy hot in the amazon and they were sweating and drenched before the game even started. It’s like running half a marathon in Louisiana at noon. They were gassed by the time the 2nd period was over.

I think you meant Bradley and there are only two halves in soccer. There is no excuse really, you are on the biggest stage for quite possibly the biggest moment of your life and everyone else seems to be fine.

Yes, both of those things. I am clearly not well versed in futbol. But regardless, you’re still human. That doesn’t change no matter where you are. I think the majority of the people were gassed. If you’re drenched in sweat before the game even starts I can’t see how you’d be fine towards the end. I think the weather played a huge part and I can’t disregard that.

It’s true really, I’ve seen it to other teams who’ve had to play games in better weather in extra time (equivalant of overtime). Some fans are being stupid about the draw as if it were some guaranteed win against a lesser opponent.

No doubt weather played a factor but everyone dealt with it. It’s not like Portugal was in an air conditioned dome while the USA team was sweating away under the sun.

Portugal is a better team. The US not losing to Portugal, no matter the weather, isn’t something to take for granted.

Brandon Flowers had better make decision soon. The Chargers will not wait for him. There are a lot of CB in camp and i’m sure that had something to do with Flowers to look at another team
