Dwight Freeney present at OTAs today

Dwight Freeney is present at OTAs today. He wasn’t with the team last week when the team started up OTAs, but he is here now.

Still not sure how much work he is able to do at this point in his rehab. At least he is at the facility to provide his knowledge to the younger players on the team. At least he is there showing his support to the other players on the roster.

Freeney could be a huge addition to the team when he returns to the field. He missed a lot of games last season and he was expected to provide the pass rush on the roster. If he is able to join the team and provide that big time pass rush ability this season, the defense should benefit all the way around and the pass defense should see more success this year.

I am hoping that Freeney can be a full speed and ready to knock out quarterbacks left and right with those strip sacks.

Freeney was a monster in the games he played. I am certain he will make an impact this year!

Peyton better be one scared dude when he plays us. Our pass rush is gonna be SCARY!

    • Sergio Quintero

I don’t know if scary but very solid with a chance to be in the upper third in the league I can definitely buy that. I’m hoping Freeney isn’t a player that starts to breakdown after a few games, if they can get a full season from him 9-12 sacks and whole lot pressures will come from him.

Manning is skittish when it comes to the pass rush. He will have problems if we execute a decent pass rush.

In particular for the pass rushing of Manning, they need a whole lot more from Liuget & Reyes, since outside pressure rarely is ever gets to the guy (unless the OT gets beaten like a drum).

A healthy Liuget who looked like a dominant player in preseason before injuring his shoulder has me hopeful, but for Reyes its a make or break season, Pagano must also do a better job of putting him in a position to succeed.

Yes! Freeneys been waiting to long to bring the pain to Peyton.

What has he had, about 8 months to rehab? Hopefully he’s ready to put torque on it and hold up. We need him to have a notable season and he’s hungry to have one.
