Malcom Floyd cleared for contact, cleared for everything

Malcom Floyd already has said that he had planned to be on the field during the season and now he has said that he has been cleared for contact by the doctors. He said that he has been cleared for everything and that there are no risks for him. Another step forward for Floyd to get onto the field.

Floyd will be the starting receiver with Keenan Allen when the season starts and he doesn’t feel that he will play tentative. He is confident and eager to get onto the field.

He might not feel that he will be tentative, but I am sure he will need to get hit a couple of times before he can get used to that type of contact again. I am sure that he will be a little more tentative at the start of the season and then will get a little more comfortable as the season goes on. Floyd should be a huge weapon for the Chargers on offense this season.

I don’t care about what they say. They surely knew before the draft !

    • Diegoblue

      Absolutely

i agree with this… otherwise they would have taken a wide receiver. If they did share his status before the draft too, other teams would have crossed receiver off of their list. It kept other team’s thinking that we needed one.

      • Julien Bélair

Exactly! There is no doubt in my mind

This!!! Sometimes, you just gotta read between the lines

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Most definitely. I knew it too.. this is why I got tired of all the “we need to take a receiver in the early rounds” talk. After this season, people are going to be eating their words for suggesting this man should have retired. They must have mistaken Floyd for some other player who gives up.

      • Julien Bélair

he will plat 2-3 more seasons probably. I’m started to even questioned the interest that we had towards smith and nicks …..was it just smokescreen?

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

He said he’s retiring after his contracts up at the end of 2015. I believe that. No pressure for a Superbowl McCoy!!! LOL…

          • Julien Bélair

Haha yeah right! Hey you’re up early

Finishing up a presentation for work tomorrow. Fun stuff. Wrote a new article too. I’ll post it shortly. It’s long, and boring… editing is a bitch.

Where is that volunteer copy editor again, Ernie? Lol…. he sounded like he was really concerned with our grammar… I would pay him five bucks am article, at this point… bwahaha = )

          • Julien Bélair

            Hahaha I feel you

  • Bolty

Malcom “sticky hands” Floyd in da mix!

    • Stefanie Smith

Bolty, remember when Norv was still here and we had the Gorilla glue (or whatever it was) scandal during the Broncos game? Then it turned out to be nothing. lol

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Remember… one of the guys who made that accusation is now our head coach… just sayin.

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

I don’t think he is going to be tentative, at all. He just said that. In fact, he is going to light it the f**k up… get on board y’all!!! No more excuses. I’m going with a pro-bowl appearance. This is going to be so exciting to watch! If he could be the second Charger to get “Comeback Player of the Year” in consecutive seasons… that would make my friggin day!!!! My guess is that we are going to see the “Rivers to Floyd Express” chuggin’ down the field like a locomotive! Ain’t nothin gonna stop it! Better clear the tracks, suckas ; )

  • powderBLUE801

Yes yes yes yes yes!!!!!! I can’t wait for this year. Allen, Floyd, royal, gates, green, Reese. I can see tons of production with this. I throw Reese in with the big boys cuz I just have a feeling he will rip down the field like the little bolt he is. ⚡️⚡️

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

That’s not even including Woodshed.. he’s always getting open too!

      • powderBLUE801

Very true. And we might even see brown and grice in the mix. Both of them are great receiving backs.

      • Tazzster

And Dontrelle Inman. Why does everyone seem to forget that we picked up this guy?

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Not trying to be disagreeable.. but, because he probably won’t make the roster. I am talking about guys who I think will be there on game day. Unless he is bad-ass on special teams, and bad-ass as a wide receiver, I don’t see him making the team. UNLESS there is an injury. If he shows he is decent in camp, I see him as a guy that might be picked up if we had an injury in camp, or during the season..

          • Tazzster

Pete, quit yelling unless at me.

ACTUALLY…. he may just turn out to be a bad-ass reciever.

I would quote all my facts here in CAPS to be as disagreeable as you Pete, but that would take time. So, I will just give you one. Dontrelle caught SIX TIMES as many TDs as Brown last year. SIX TIMES.
By the way….. TDs are sexy.

  • arnie

The Chargers were non-communicative in 2013 about injuries, I didn’t expect that to change. The reality is they have “versatility” as far as receiving goes and picked up some good value in WR. all that said they were going to give Floyd as much time as he needed to come back.

    • Julien Bélair

It’s ok like that….we don’t need to know. if they think it worth something not telling the truth then I agree with them
