Dick's Sporting Goods presents "Hell Week":

Tags: 2014 Nfl Mock Draft Mock Draft San Diego Chargers

  • serg21

I did this my mock came out like this
    Rd 1 Darqueze Dennard CB
    Rd 2 Davante Adams WR
    Rd 3 Ego Ferguson DT
    Rd 4 Rashaad Reynolds CB
    Rd5 DE’anthony Thomas RB
    Rd6 Devon kennard OLB
    Rd 7 Cassius Marsh DE

    • Conor Cahill

I definitely like thomas in the 5th over archer in the 4th. In retrospect, I wouldve gone Verrett in the 1st

    • Julien Bélair

      Love this !!!

      • serg21

Thanks u can try it to it’s on a website called fanspeaks.com

        • Diegoblue

          Will do .. Thanks

    • Diegoblue

      Like this draft..

  • BuhaySD

Sorry but I would be very disappointed if this is how our draft ended up. Where is the NT help? How can you pass on Verrett and Nix in the 1st when those are our 2 biggest needs going into the draft?

    • Conor Cahill

I said it, I dont think drafting for need when superior talent is on the board is smart

      • BuhaySD

I agree “reaching” for a need over superior talent isn’t the best philosophy but I just don’t see Pryor as being a superior talent over Nix and Verrett. I don’t think we would be reaching for either of those players at 25. The fact that those are high priority positions for us is a bonus.

        • Diegoblue

          Exactly…

        • Conor Cahill

          I didnt say reach

      • Diegoblue

I’m not sure if any of those guys you have us taking Connor would be superior talent compared to who’s still out there for us to take.

      • philiprules

You don’t drop a #1 on a position of marginal need to “create competition and get a good backup” when you have several positions or much greater need. Let go of the idea we need a Safety all that much already.

      • Daniel Sutter

Conor, I feel ya. Passing on great talent sucks but when they cant improve your OVERALL unit as much as a little lesser ‘need’ player inproves the unit, then whats the point. Leave a whole elsewhere to get a solid bench at a particular position? It makes no sense. it would if the other available talent was garbage but not in this years draft…

  • gpack17

my honest opinion…round 3 i still probably would have gone with purifoy or moncrief or daquan jones with that pick..i agree with you on drafting superior talent but tiny richardson has had a ton of question marks and he will most likely be a right tackle…next years draft could have 4 1st round talent left tackles so i would wait…also in round 1 i really like pryor but sua filo would be tough to pass for a safety at that spot when we will need a guard after we cut clary to free up room to even sign our draft picks..

  • 619chargers4life

Truth be told , I’m not really digging your mock at all . Just saying lol

    • Gunnar Martin

Besides Latimer in the 6th(?!) I gave him all below average grades. I’d be pretty upset if we drafted like this. Sorry Conor ;)

      • Daniel Sutter

        Yep!

      • 619chargers4life

I would probably jump off a bridge lol

  • Julien Bélair

Pryor is a waste. Addae will let him riding the bench !
Also I personally don’t like murphy at all.

I like the 5-6-7 rounds though

    • Diegoblue

Don’t like Murphy either .. 4.89 won’t cut it especially if Telesco said he wants speed this year

      • Julien Bélair

And all the games I watched he was getting easily blocked (one on one)

    • Conor Cahill

Ya Verrett as available too. I couldnt handle the pressure!!

      • Julien Bélair

        haha !!

  • Marcel West-Bailey

I don’t think we really need Pryor. Addae is developing quite well and if not next season, this season he’ll be starting over Gilchrist. I don’t think waiting that long to take a corner is going to be a good idea. Just because it’s the second round doesn’t mean there isn’t good talent that just needs some coaching. Desir is a good pick if the big names are gone. I think taking Archer that high would be a mistake if we can get DAT later and use our 4th pick on a DT or OG/T or maybe even Latimer, who I think won’t fall as low as you have him because he’s been showing up and showing out at the combine and his pro day.

  • gpack17

I just ran a draft through fan speak and got pretty lucky haha…
    1. Justin Gilbert
    2. Allen Robinson
    3. Deone Bucannon
    4. Will Sutton
    5. Ronald Powell
    6. Aaron Colvin
    7. Shamarr Stephens

    • Conor Cahill

haah ya ive done a few where guys just fall in my lap

  • Tony

ran my own draft on fan speak.
    1. Darqueze Dennard CB- Michigan State
    2. David Yankey G- Stanford
    3. Trent Murphy DE- Stanford
    4. Josh Huff WR- Oregon
    5. Aaron Colvin CB- Oklahoma
    6. Zach Kerr DT- Delaware
    7. Kevin Norwood WR- Alabama

    • Gunnar Martin

The last four rounds would be spectacular. Before then, just alright. Dennard and Yankey would both be great value picks, so I’d be okay with that. But Murphy… I just don’t like him at all.

    • Daniel Sutter

Sub in Desir in the 2nd, De Marcus Smith DE in the 3rd, Trai Turner G in the 5th. Same positions taken but in a different order and this would be sweet! According to the above mock and many projections, these subs are all available, not sure about yours though…but
      1) Dennard CB
      2) Desir CB or even SJB/Breeland CB(s)
      3) Smith DE/OLB
      4) Huff WR—-Latimer if still on the board!!!!
      5) Turner G
      6) Kerr (great value!) DT
      7) Norwood (again a steal at 7) WR
      Wow that’d be solid!

      • Tony

Latimer was gone by the 3rd round. Desir was also gone in the second and I had just taken Dennard in the first didnt see the point in taking a second corner that soon. Took Colvin in the fifth cuz that was just a steal.

    • Harry Philpot

i think colvin will be a real steal this year

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

    1. Darqueze Dennard – CB
    2. Jeremiah Attaochu – OLB
    3. Donte Moncrief – WR
    4. DaQuan Jones – NT
    5. Aaron Colvin- CB
    6. De’Anthony Thomas – Slot/KR/PR
    7. Brandon Thomas – OG

    • chargersfanfromswitzerland

I would like this a LOT!!!!!

    • Diegoblue

      We should be so lucky..

  • Daniel Sutter

Ran one on Fan Speak just to see how my mock would play out….

    1)Kyle Fuller CB
2)SJb (reached a little to get him before he was off the board)
    3) De Marcus Smith DE/OLB
    4) Dakota Dozier G
    5) Bandon Coleman WR
    6) Zack Kerr DT
    7) Kevin Norwood WR

  • Harry Philpot

i like how you included larry english as a stable pass rusher, always optimistic

  • jacob911

    1 fuller
    2 telvin smith
3 amhad dixon or Keith McGill
    4 Zach Fulton
    5 Daniel mccullers
    7 Kenny guiton
