Hits From The Tweets: Nick Novak Runs A Few Routes

Here is another day from the tweets. To start things out, we have Chargers kicker Nick Novak running routes. I knew the Chargers needed another receiver, but I didn’t know how desperate the team was:

Auditions for the Chargers cheerleaders are tomorrow. I don’t know if there is a place to watch this though.

Marcus Cromartie ran into Ladainian Tomlinson and he tried to convince him to root for Wisconsin.

Kendall Reyes was out at the game tonight and enjoyed watching his team get to the Championship:

Bad pass on the second one though…

Rookie mistake by his QB, I’m sure.

    Nice article.

its better than him practicing as a CB, because we all know kickers can’t tackle.

    • Gunnar Martin

True, but he’s actually surprised me with his effort/skill when he tries to tackle a returner. He’s about as reliable as any other kicker in the game in that aspect. Just sayin.

It’s not effort or skill cus he wants to fit in or be a tackler like the rest, special teams coach uses novak as a key component in stopping returners, he showed the strategy in a video on the chargers website, cant recall correctly but he said novak and two gunners on the side form a triangle and novak is the insurance just in case the gunners fail, its a deliberate strategy.

Pretty much every team does that. He is one of three kickers (off the top of my head) that actually tries to bring the ballcarrier down, and often succeeds. Most other guys just flop themselves out of the play when he comes their way.

you dont know he’s a big part of tackling in the return game??? faceplam
