Dee Ford might have the highest “hit:bust” ratio of any pick outside of Manziel. Fast, athletic and possessing great technique, though severely limited in terms of being able to drop back into coverage and having a lingering back problem, I’d love the idea of taking him at #25 if he were to drop that far, but I think we would be better served taking a player with fewer question marks.

    • Sergio Quintero

I think the coverage might improve, since the speed is so good, but the health of the back I don’t know how serious that is, is it a problem that has been fixed by surgery or a situation that will keep getting worse. But his one skill is enough to have him in the conversation at pick 25.

      • afroamongfew

Absolutely, you take Ford if you look at him, the tape, the combine and pro-day stuff and go, “yeah, his limited skills are still VERY good” and I have him on my big board. I just feel like it’s important to point out that his drawbacks are significant.

What about Ryan shazier could play outside lb too

      • Diegoblue

        In the 2nd round I l wouldn’t mind

ford reminds me a ton of ingram…about 6’1 with short arms..coming into the draft as a pretty good pass rusher…so why get the same exact player…id try to get van noy or murphy in round 2 or wait until 5 and get powell or breslin

    Desean Jackson just got released.

    • Sergio Quintero

He would be perfect compliment to the chargers needs, but it seems so completely out of character for Telesco, I hope he surprises us.

I think its pretty clear Telesco is slow steady guy, who likes drafting players more by tape than by measurables.

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Ya after reading about his possible gang relations to LA gang affiliation I doubt I’d want to move him right down the street from his homies. I think that was a huge part of his release was the unknown factor of WTH he was doing in his personal time.

        • Stefanie Smith

Something came up in 2010. I believe it is a cheap shot by the Eagles PR folks to justify what they have done or an NFL.com, writer making it up. Now they want to drive down his value. They are angry at him about something. (Hint” He refused to take a pay reduction or adjust his contract.)

Just for the record: He lives in LA. He is a young black male that has tattoos. Therefore, he must have gang affiliations. If he talks to somebody (maybe a fan) who has gang affiliations, if he is a young black male living in LA sporting tattoos, then he too must be involved with gangs.

The guy has never been arrested in his life. EVER. And it is really low for the Eagles to take it this far. They also stuck a work ethic issue in there also.

“possible gang affiliation”—they say it like that so they cannot be pinned down. It’s a feeling,,, Nothing concrete or specific…just real nasty innuendos.

Steph! An! E! Steph! An! E! Steph! An! E!

          • Diegoblue

Stefanie Smith I couldn’t agree with you more ..

    • Derek

i see him being sold on vick and what geno did with tavon austin at the jets. or replacing steve smith in carolina before he considers us…..

      • Sergio Quintero

Yes to all of the above, I’m sure he would consider coming here if the offer were made, but its so against Telesco character, a major investment in free agency, and problem child character player.

        • Derek

i think we fit in the $ catergory since the only thing we can sell him on is hometown and we cant get peyton to say “we can win it all together”. i forget jets and panthers cap but i know its prob better than ours. but yeah i doubt even if we had the $ tt would risk it on him. and as im typing ron rivera says we’re intrested in desean
