San Diego Chargers S Brandon Taylor Underwent ACL Surgery A Couple of Days Ago

San Diego Chargers S Brandon Taylor went under the knife again a couple of days ago in order to get his knee scoped for his ACL injury. Here are some images from his instagram account:

We had been waiting to see Taylor get on the field during the 2013 season, but he spent the whole season on the inactive list and eventually was placed onto the IR for this injury. Taylor tore his ACL in his rookie season. He just was starting to see more playing time in his rookie year, then he tore his ACL and he has not been able to get on the field since. He missed all of the 2013 season because of the injury.

The timeline for his return is not known at this time. He responded to a couple of his followers on instagram and said that he would be out a few weeks. He still needs to get back in football shape and shake off some of the rust that he has built up since getting on the field. Hopefully he can get back on the field some time soon.

Damn. I wish him well but I dont know how our new management feel about him. I like the guy and he looked good when he played (as little as he played). Hopefully he can make a speedy recovery and get back onto the field.

    • Gunnar Martin

I agree. He showed flashes when he was on the field, but he’s been on the field so little. Judging from his background (3rd round pick, stand-out captain for LSU), there’s still a chance he ends up good in the NFL. I just hope its with us and not some other team.

I’m pulling for the Young man. If his returns means an upgrade in play for the back field, the Chargers D would get a boost they sorely need. His health an success only means more options for them.

        • Julien Bélair

I really liked him coming out of the college. It’s a shame we didn’t have the opportunity to see him play. He was a great leader at LSU also. I got to wear their number 18

Back of the field was pretty solid at the end of last year. Addai really improved and was very solid the last 6 games.

He’s deff in the proving himself catergory along with these and next seasons rookies. I see him and possibly a latter round pic or undrafted fa battling for a spot behind addae. Since it’s a knee scope the recovery he should be fine shortly. This sounds like a procedure my friend had.

Just a setback. Think of it as a really awesome present we get to open in preseason. I bet Melvin is in his ear supporting him.
