San Diego Chargers Scout Meets with Nebraska CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste at Senior Bowl Practice

We mentioned Stanley Jean-Baptiste as a player to watch at the Senior Bowl yesterday and it looks like the Chargers scouts met with him today to dig up some information on him:

Baptiste is a big, physical corner that was converted from a wide receiver and has been receiving praise for his performance at the Senior Bowl practices. Here is what people are saying about him:

Jean-Baptiste would not be a safety in out system. We would want him on our roster in order to be a corner. We would want him to line up across from receivers and shut them down. If he is going to play safety, then we wouldn’t want him.

It would be bitter sweet for the Bolts to have a clutch CB!

I liked the guy’s highlight reel. I looks like, having played WR, he has a good feel for routes and shows great anticipation on where the ball is going to be thrown. Plus he is big and physical.

He looks like he would be a great pick.

Really love this kid. I would be happy is he ends up being our 3rd pick maybe even 2rd if he as a good combine

Same. Looks good. If he can brush off that “project” label, then I would be more than happy for us to go after him.

Why haven’t we hired new coaches yet?!?!

I like Stanley he could be just what we need across from Shareece.

I hope we’re talking to pass rushers too.
Dee Ford has been killing it at the Senior Bowl. The more I watch him, the more I’m impressed.
