Ken Whisenhunt Will Become Tennessee Titans New Head Coach

Ken Whisenhunt will be heading to the Tennessee Titans to become their new head coach, one day after losing to the Denver Broncos in the playoffs. Less than 24 hours ago.

Whisenhunt has been credited for helping the Chargers offense flip things around this season and for getting Philip Rivers back to elite status. Whisenhunt has drawn a lot of criticism from Chargers fans for interviewing for multiple jobs during the preparation week against the Broncos and this quick hiring will not go well either. The Chargers offense was unable to get rolling on offense until later in the game against the Broncos and the team came out flat.

Now the search for the Chargers new offensive coordinator will begin. The Chargers could look toward QB Coach Frank Reich to call the plays or the team can look outside for a new offensive coordinator. Mike McCoy will have to find a new man to call the shots on offense next season. I think the favorite has to be Frank Reich at this time.

We all knew that Whisenhunt was going to be a 1-year rental. Now he will be coaching in Tennessee. That happened quick. VERY QUICK!

Hmmmm…his play calling yesterday showed he wanted the Chargers season over so he could move on!! Good riddens!

  • Stefanie Smith

The moron didn;t even wait 24 hours. Yeah, he was thinking about the Chargers the past week. Not!

    • Gunnar Martin

I got here as quick as I could to say “Make way for Stefanie, everyone!” But of course, you beat me to the job. LOL

Hahahaha… me too!!!!! She is all over it…

        hahahah

      • Stefanie Smith

It’s my day off from work and I am sick about the Chargers losing. I wish it did not bother me.

        • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

hahaha… it bothers us all. if it didn’t… you wouldn’t be a fan! :)

          • Gunnar Martin

            Truth

  • 619chargers4life

Well alright !!!! Tenn doesn’t make sense at all . Wouldn’t he want a QB ? We can all see where his mind was at

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

right… i would have gone to detroit

      • vct

Remember Mr. Mathew “I don’t need correction” Stafford is part of the interview group, he probably doesn’t want Whiz gameplan.

        • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

          true

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

        In a heartbeat.

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Yeeeeppppp. See, I think this is awesome! I really wanted him fired after the Redskins game. Openly wrote about it. The problem was, that I didn’t think McCoy would ever have the balls to do it, and we would be stuck with him, until Rivers moved on. Problem solved… it didn’t even get ugly, except for him having his head up his ass, and costing us the most important game of the season.

    • vct

Tenn does make sense. Both he and Chris Johnson LOVE to run so let them run all day long and have the QB throw like 10 times per game. In fact, let them run on all four downs because the Colts will be division champ.

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

LOL…. let the bullets fly. I’m not particularly upset about just yesterday. You can take a math test, and nail everything in the trigonometry section perfectly. But, if you get 1 + 1 wrong six times, all the genius in the world doesn’t make you a good mathematician.

  • Alex Pitrofsky

Goodbye and good ridden. Thanks for costing us the game against the Donkeys. He was too scared to throw the ball down the field with one of the most accurate passers in the league!!!

  • Stefanie Smith

I just hope he doesn’t take Frank Reich with him or anyone that Coach McCoy wants to have on the staff.

    • vct

Yea, the way in MM’s interview this morning scare me a little bit at the mention of staff Whiz is pulling away.

    • JoseSD

i think when he came he brought the Defensive Backs coach and a special teams guy with him from Arizona, hope he takes them with him since our DBs were getting torched too often

      • Gunnar Martin

DBs coach came from Denver. Ron Milus. Wouldn’t be too surprised to see him go. Then again, they did do MUCH better the last part of the season.

  • Joel Ayala

Go to Hell Whiz. lost all respect for your punk ass after game hit the half. and I had tons of respect too… bastard

  • Stefanie Smith

Wonder how many times he called the Titans yesterday and on Saturday before we played the Broncos? Naww, I don;t want to know. Good riddance.

  • Stefanie Smith

Now they are saying on NFL Network that the Detroit Lions had sent a plane down here to pick up Whisenhunt but that he changed his mind. Oh no, he had no idea that they were on their way to San Diego when we were in Denver.

  • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

The whole evolution of this team has been impressive. Pagano showed by the end of the season that he deserves to continue as the Defensive Coordinator and Wisenhunt proved to be a liability in the playoffs. Looking forward to the next moves Telesco and McCoy will make for this next season. BOLTASTIC!

  • Blue&gold_blood

Titans , really lmao. What a idiot . Honestly I didn’t like him. He didn’t have balls or trusted rivers . Why wouldn’t you allow rivers make more throws ?

  • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

    Adios MF!!!!
