Cam Thomas

Thomas has struggled  this year.  It’s been made pretty clear that he is a good rotational guy but not a starting NT like we all hoped he would be.  Our other rotational guy, Lissemore, may be the one Charger out this week, which means that Cam is going to have to step up big time.  Getting inside pressure on Dalton is crucial.  Our whole D-line has to play out of their minds, but Thomas especially.

If Lissemore can’t go, I’ll be holding my breath every time they run at Cam T. he absolutely got destroyed in week 13 and was the sole reason the D struggled against the run.

Aj green is made of glass!!!…. Compared to the average football player I know I couldn’t go a full 16 games or even 5. But I say that to say the way wright has been taking out our own recievers in practice I can’t see aj hanging tough for 4 quarters especially with the way Andy sets his recievers up lol. Not wishing any injuries on anyone, just being realistic

I have a question if the chargers can get marquis lee in the 2nd or 3rd like keenan allen was, do you guys think it could happen again? Imagine a young core or allen and lee would be sick! Your guys opinion? Also just brought this up because lee said hes going into the draft, go chargers!

    • Ernie Padaon

If lee is available then, it would be stupid to pass on him. I think we would go for it. It almost would be dumb to pass on him with our first round pick.

      • Peter Thompson

You know I’ll be beating the strong safety drum for the billionth year in a row.

        • Ernie Padaon

I heard that. Not in love with who is there in this draft tho

    • CALiFORNiAkiD

Lee wouldn’t help us in the Redzone

I would take Allen Robinson, Mike Evans or Kelvin Benjamin
Big tall guys who can go up and get the Football

I expect us to also attack the middle with Gates & Green
Gates for the short stuff and Green for the big plays.

The Bengals have a hard time covering the middle of the field

I saw an Interview of Terrance Newman and they asked him a question about Gates
And he spent the whole time talking about Ladarius Green.
You could tell they are definitely worried about him.

Dave you nailed it. 5-2. I can’t stress this enough. The Chargers have beaten 3 of the 5 team in the AFC playoffs, the Patriots we did not play. So what does that mean, the Chargers KNOW they can beat those teams, and give themselves a chance to run the table. Also, nobody the Chargers faced twice, has beat them the second time, guess who’s next on the list?

Marqise Lee is the best receiver in the country. If I could have anybody in this draft it would be him, just because I’m a die hard Trojans fan and he’s one of my favorite players and seeing him go to the chargers would be a dream come true. However, assuming Malcom comes back, the chargers wouldn’t spend a first round pick on a receiver, and there’s no way he falls out of the first. He was a projected top 10 maybe even top 5 pick heading in to this year before his numbers took a hit thanks to the awful play of now QB Cody Kessler. Same thing happened to Robert Woods. He was a projected top 10 pick but then Marqise came alive and took half his targets away. But when Marqise had a real quarterback in the great Matt Barkley, no other receiver comes close to him. Fight on!

  • Will

Oh and speaking of my Trojans, this is Shareece Wright’s first year starting and he’s been asked to do way more than what was expected. With a year under his belt, he could be a solid number 2 corner next year.

    • C.Steele

I’m not sure how covering the oppositions wide outs and run support is “asking way more than expected”. That’s asking your corner to do his job…

    • CALiFORNiAkiD

      I agree.
