Cleveland Browns Interested in Ken Whisenhunt

The Cleveland Browns must like what the San Diego Chargers are doing, one of the coaches that is high on their head coaching list is Ken Whisenhunt, per ESPN. They liked the San Diego Chargers coaching staff so much that they hired former Chargers coaches Rob Chudzinski and Norv Turner onto their staff. They only lasted one season with the Browns and now they are on the unemployment line all over again.

I feel bad for Chudzinski. He was hired on as the head coach and only lasted for one season with the team. He didn’t get much a chance as their head coach. Whisenhunt would be stuck trying to turn around another franchise that has had big time struggles if he were to join the Browns. He already was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals for so many years.

Whisenhunt is a hot name out there for all the teams that are searching for a new leader. He likely will be getting a lot of interest after the Chargers are complete with the playoffs… which will be after a Super Bowl win. Teams might have to wait for a while.

IF he does go to the Browns, I wonder if he will bring Whitehurst with him. We are probably going to release him and he does know WHIZ’s playbook.

Whiz would be stupid to take the job, dont take a broken team to the playoffs your first year and get fires mentality with front office in Cleveland. Besides several browns players them selves hate playing for that franchise.

It makes no sense for Whisenhunt to take Browns job. Sure they have two first round picks but they have a similar problem that Cards have, no QB. No way would he leave to coach there when he has Pro Bowler here. A more alluring job would be Detroit or Washington with QB’s in place like Stafford and RGIII. Besides those two I see no way he leaves.
