Schedule: 10:05 am pacific time, January 5, 2014
Where: Cincinnati, OH, Paul Brown Stadium

The San Diego Chargers are in the playoffs and they will travel to Cincinnati for the first round of the playoffs to take on the Bengals. The Bengals are the 3rd seed in the AFC and have already beaten the Chargers once this season. That was the last time the Chargers had lost.

The Bengals pounded the football with the running game against the Chargers the last time and will likely be looking to take that same gameplan into the playoffs. The Chargers have made some adjustments to their defense since that game and have done better at stopping the running game. They had some struggles against the Chiefs on Sunday, but this is a new game.

The Chargers also have relied on their running game a lot more since the last time they faced against the Bengals. Ryan Mathews has been carrying the load for the Chargers and making big plays on offense.

The offense will have to rely on Philip Rivers to be efficient and for his receivers to make some big catches.

Oh what was Norvs last words again? Wasn’t it something like “give the new regime a while till they reach the playoffs”? Screw that scrotum neck!!!

    • Conor Cahill

“There’s no easy fix in San Diego” -scrotum neck

      • Cgoodness13

The Chargers got very lucky today against the backup Chiefs. Rivers will have to do better and the defense will have to actually show up next week or the season is over.

    • arnie

Very true. The difference this year, they actually took advantage of that luck. 60 minutes of a complete game, and they have a chance.

  • Conor Cahill

Bengals offense played like crap today. Hopefully they play like crap again next week because I don’t trust our D at all.

  • Cgoodness13

Wheather we make our way to the lambardi or get stomped by the bengals, this new era of chargers football is something to be proud of. Though we’ve had some ugly wins and loses we’ve also had some awesome wins. GG McCoy and TT.

  • Blue&gold_blood

It almost felt like the scrotum was calling some plays today. With that 3rd and long pass BS.

  • ChargerMan
