Keenan Allen Nominated for Rookie of the Week Award

Seems that Keenan Allen is nominated for this rookie of the week award all the time. He is nominated again this week for his performance against the Denver Broncos. He didn’t have a huge game as far as yards or receptions, but he had a pair of touchdown catches and his hurdle over the defender for the first score helped propel the team’s momentum.

Just hand the kid the rookie of the year award now! He is the best rookie in the class at this point. I know that the Green Bay Packers fans will disagree with that assessment, but Allen is playing like a vet on offense. He has a certain swag that he brings to offense and the rest of his teammates are feeding off of his energy.

I will be disappointed if he doesn’t get the rookie of the year award this season. He is close to topping that 1,000 reception yard mark, needing just 79 yards in the next two games. He now has 7 touchdowns on the season.

I can’t wait to see what he does against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

Make your votes for Keenan here.

Yards tend to matter more than TD’s in these awards I can’t see Keenan winning in a week he had 29 yards and Lacy had 141 and was beasting the Cowboys, R.O.Y. still too close too call between these 2 guys.
