Confirmed: Wes Welker Will Not Play vs Chargers on Thursday

The San Diego Chargers will not have to worry about Wes Welker on Thursday. They still have to deal with Demayrius Thomas, Julius Thomas and Eric Decker, but Welker will be on the sideline this Thursday recovering from a concussion that he suffered on Sunday. At least that is one less player to worry about on defense.

The San Diego Chargers defense did decent the last time the two teams met, but Demayrius Thomas and Julius Thomas busted a couple of big plays for scores and really hurt the Chargers chances.

The defense has been playing better. At least they played better against Eli Manning. Now they get big brother Peyton and get a chance to beat down both Mannings in a week. That would be an awesome accomplishment for the team!
