King Dunlap Participating in Chargers Practice Wednesday

San Diego Chargers LT King Dunlap is able to get on the practice field today and his status for the game against the New York Giants looks positive. He practiced a little last week and he is able to get back on the field in a Wednesday practice. The offensive  line should be able to shuffle back around with his return to the lineup.

D.J. Fluker did a good job at left tackle for the time that he was out there.

Dunlap had a neck injury that he was recovering from and has had a few injuries that he has been working through this  season. He has already suffered a couple of concussions this year and his injuries has to be a concern for the team in the future.

The Chargers have been losing for the last three seasons, how has that worked out? It’s not “where” you pick, but ” who” you pick that makes teams better.

            Well said arnie, well said

Thanks Gunnar, just to be clear I wasn’t trying to dump on Kris. The Chargers have had opportunities to draft some really good players, Troy Palomalu, Clay Matthews, Maliuga…just to name few that were slam dunk picks, when the Chargers had their turn. The guys they took aren’t even in the league, except for English. The Chargers were supposed to be doomed by not getting LT in the draft. Well the “TOP TACKLES” aren’t setting the world on fire, while Kluker is proving he play both sides.
This is why I don’t jump on the bandwagon of “high” draft picks, and getting fixated on players the Chargers should take. RM24 isn’t the most dynamic RB in the league, however, under the right coaching staff his performance is almost night an day.

    The King is BACK!!!!

  • Gunnar Martin

Fist pump! We win when he is out there battling for us.

This is good news. I’m not sure fans realize what a good Left Tackle Dunlap is. This guy has helped Rivers shine this year. Too bad being nearly 7′ tall puts his head and neck in jeopardy of getting removed on every play.

  • Dave

Yes, this is great news. But, with the Chargers they will either 1) win the rest of their games but miss the playoff or 2) lose like they have and miss the playoffs. Too many blown games that should’ve been won and really the same thing every year.

What year is that? This is T&M first year.
