Jarret Johnson Returned To Chargers Practice On Wednesday

The Chargers defense against the run has struggled this year. It could get a bit of a boost with the return of Jarret Johnson. Johnson has been sidelined with a hamstring injury and then also been sidelined with a hand injury.

With Johnson on the sideline, the Bengals were able to gash the Chargers for big chunks of yards on the ground. Thank goodness the Giants do not have a good running game. We probably will make them look decent though.

Having Johnson back on the field should be a tremendous help to  the defense. With him on the sideline, the Chargers had to use different combinations at outside linebacker and the results have been up and down. Johnson can take a majority of the snaps if he is healthy.

Wish these guys were healthy last week… we really could have used them. Glad they are back though. Even without a realistic shot at the playoffs, I would LOVE to finish out with some good Charger Football. Especially if we went 5-1, or 4-2 in the division… just to let these AFC West teams know what they can look forward to next year! I really don’t care about draft position. TT will get good talent in here, no matter where we pick. He has already proven that. Nor do I think we should sit Melvin Ingram, just because we might be out of it. I want to see that T-Rex DESTROY QB’s before the end of the season! Show them that they can look forward to HIM being in their grill all next season, too!

i agree, and ingram needs more game exp. get him reps. lots, as many as his knee can take. thus he’ll be better off next year

Yeah that is a problem, if the defense can’t perform it’s duties, like stopping the run, without ONE player, then either they need to address this in the draft an FA, or get a former linebacker coach, now turned DC, to make sure “everyone” knows how to play the run. I also noticed how they suffered I this area when Weddle wasn’t playing nickel Linebacker.

What about Ingram? That’s the real question now…
