Ryan Mathews, King Dunlap Practice For 2nd Straight Day

Both Ryan Mathews and King Dunlap were able to hit the practice field for the 2nd straight day on Friday. Dunlap is still listed as doubtful on the official injury report and he will likely sit out the game to get a little more rest on his neck. Ryan Mathews practiced again and was listed as probably for the game. The Chargers would love to have the back on the field to carry the rock in the game.

With Dunlap likely sidelined for the game, rookie D.J. Fluker will make another start on the left side of the line. The Bengals defense will likely try to test out Fluker and try to mix things up over there. Fluker has been able to hang for his last few starts.

The offense played very well last weekend and the team will want another performance like that this weekend against the Bengals.

Other players that were listed on the injury report: Antonio Gates practiced fully today and is listed as probable. He was likely getting some rest this week. Eddie Royal didn’t practice all week and is listed as questionable. This has been the same designation that he has had the last few weeks and he still has been able to get onto the field to contribute.

Pags Stated there is a competition in the back field. This might be the opening that gets Taylor on the field, an move Weddle back to playing FS instead of Linebacker.

Oh yeah. well let’s hope the right guys are on the field to help us. by that I mean keeps Coxs on the bench barring injuries. lol. I really hope someone stepped up and plays good enough.

Agreed. If there’s is anyone on the roster that needs to step up it’s C. Butler and Marshal. They haven’t gotten much time starting. Gilchrist is good in nickel back, but he just isn’t answer at starting CB either.

Too much linebacking not enough safety!

We need our work horse Mathews in the backfield AND in the red zone! #boltup!
