San Diego Chargers rookie WR Keenan Allen is nominated for the Pepsi Next Rookie of the Week honors. He had a stellar performance against the Kansas City Chiefs defense. He had nine receptions for 124 yards and had a lot of success against their secondary.

The Chiefs defense was considered to be the best in the league by many people, but Allen showed his ability to get open against man coverage and his ability to pick up yards after the catch. He has

 His excellent play gives us hope for the future. He is going to be a great receiver for us for a while and I look forward to seeing this kid blossom in the next few seasons. Imagine if we had a threat on the opposite side of him at receiver.
