Chargers Will Add Dan DePalma To Practice Squad

The San Diego Chargers are set to add WR Dan DePalma onto the practice squad. He will be flying to San Diego on Tuesday morning in order to join the team, per Michael Gehlken. He was with the team during training camp and was having a good camp and was a fan favorite while he was on the squad.

I think that he could be a good candidate to make the 53 man roster too. He is a good route runner and had some reliable hands. The Chargers have only activated 4 wide receivers the last few games with Lavelle Hawkins set as inactive a few times. If DePalma can contribute on special teams, he could be the kickoff specialist. He also could be someone to help out at the receiver spot.

The guy works hard and is a good player to have on the practice squad. While with the Giants, many players thought he was one of the best receivers on the team and that his roles on the practice squad helped them prepare for players like Wes Welker.

I like the move.

Can he play corner too?? My god man, if we only had decent guys back there we would be great. With Allen, Green, Gates, Woodhead, and Mathews… And of course Rivers. We should be able to score on anyone. Now if only we could stop a few of these nuckleheads, instead of making them all look like Montana. Isn’t here anybodies left overs that we could bring in??? Have they checked OB, or PB for some local help?? Please, santa, all we want is a half assed secondary… Bolt Up!!

Good to have him back, experience is the best development any WR can get. Lord knows we could use his help if VB doesn’t pull it together.

Mike Remmers was claimed by the Vikings today, maybe this was the corresponding move.

Yes it was. The Chargers actually tried to sneak him back onto the practice squad, the only reason was they needed a Tackle that could play in the Chief game.

Hopefully he can pull a tutu at the end of the bengals game for us…
